My family and I spent the holidays in the gorgeous parallel universe that is Hawaii. Checked off The Big Island, Maui, and Oahu and saw terrain resembling the African savanna next to Napa Valley all the way to the Scottish highlands. Found the fruitiest of fruity drinks, spotted a bird hitching a ride on a cow while wandering the mountains (or rather, volcanoes), spent a lot of time on the beach without actually going in the water, and saw some ridiculous sunsets. Surreal.
